Doing some cleaning and inventory of my core parts today. As I was separating my bins of parts I had cleaned I was gathering my oil squirters together and blowing them out to ensure no excess moisture was present inside the cavity. Upon blowing the orifices out, I noticed one had a slight issue. Please note...this is VERY important to take note on because I see SOOOO many ppl use such an excessive amount of silicone when sealing oil pans and other various components on their engines. A direct result in failing to be responsible and conscious about the amount of silicone can do exactly whats pictured below. Silicone was lodged inside the squirter rendering it useless. This leads to an increase in oil pressure, loss of cooling ability to 2 pistons and could have ended its way completely through the oil pump and in-between your bearings. So...rule of thumb....CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN...then INSPECT...then CLEAN again! It is so important to verify and make sure your components are well taken care of and rid of debris and FOD. You are putting components inside an engine and you MUST ensure they are absolutely clean!
